The maiden didn't disappear. She just went underground.
Here is something nobody talks about: when the maiden is never properly honored and grieved, she doesn't disappear. She goes underground. And from underground, she runs the show.
She is the voice that whispers I didn't sign up for this. The resentment beneath the love. The rage that has nowhere to go. The whiney little girl. The caged animal looking for a way out. The part of you that loves your life as a mom but daydreams about burning it all to the ground.Â
The maiden is not the villain. She never got her farewell, never got her ceremony. And so she keeps pulling at you from below — through resentment, disconnection, grasping to your old the sense that you've lost yourself and cannot find the way back.
